The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra is offering a Sound Check Card to students; an all-access season pass to any JSO Masterworks, Discovery or Coffee concerts for only $25 (potentially 44 concerts).  This card is available to students under 25 yrs of age. Parent News!!!


All parents are welcome to volunteer at the school in any capacity they feel they can help..  From our teachers needing a hand in the classroom to helping procure supplies for a certain event or project, any support you provide strengthens the important sense of community SJGS is working to instill in the children.  It's a great way to lead by example and is very much appreciated.

Dear Parents, please note that monthly tuition is due the first of each month.  Please pay by the 10th to avoid a late fee of 10%. 

The SJGS Office is now open 5 days a week.

3/2/2011 - SUMMER CAMP NEWS!

Hi Parents,

 

Summer is quickly approaching and we have scheduled the following camps to be held at SJGS this year.  The camp schedule will be posted on Jax4Kids and we recommend you sign up early to reserve your child's spot!  You may register for camp through Ms. Linda in the office.  If you have any questions, please give her a call.

 

Summer 2011 Camps

 

May 31 – Jun 3   Craft Camp          9 - 2      3 & 4      $130/child             Ms. Jaime

Arts & Crafts, Storytime, and Playtime…Children will be doing one nice craft each day.

 

May 31 – Jun 3   Camp St. Johns   9 – 3   5 & up   $140/child    Ms. Janice & Ms.Tori

Arts & Crafts, swimming, games, cooking, literature and more!  Snack provided, bring your lunch  no flip flops and wear sunscreen and bugspray.  Before and aftercare provided if needed until 5:00 pm.  Minimum of 8 children required to hold camp.

 

Jun 6 – Jun 10     Camp St. Johns   9 – 3   5 & up    $175/child            Ms. Janice & Ms.Tori

Our days will be filled with fishing, swimming, arts & crafts, sports, etc; all with the brain in mind.  Activities will strengthen the connections between the brain and the body, while building coordination.  Bring lunch, bathing suit, towel, spray on sunscreen and bugspray.  Snack will be provided.

 

Jun 13 – Jun 24   Geo-Story Camp   9am – 3pm   $175/child   Ms.Tori       

Do you love history and the mystery of the countries around the world?  Then Geo-story camp is the place for you!  Each day features a new country where we will learn and explore:

 

Customs  -  Entertainment  -  Food  -  Geography  -  Culture  -  Language  -   AND So Much More!!

 

We will explore Egypt, Mexico, Japan, France and Friday will be an around the world part exploration day!  

 

Friday will have a cookout and water play.  Snack is provided, bring  lunch, no flip flops and wear sunscreen and bugspray.

 

Jun 20 – Jun 24    Brain Builder Camp   5 & up  9 – 3   $175/child   Ms. Janice & Ms. Sandi

The 2 week session is preschool material, phonics, math, storytime, etc.  Children must be potty trained.

 

Jun 27 – Jul 1      Lego Camp   5 & up  9-2  
$175/child                  Ms. Janice & Ms Tori

Mornings are dedicated to Lego Robotics; afternoons are dedicated to other activities like swimming, fishing, playground.  Each camper please bring a lunch.

 

Jul 25 – Jul 29    Math & Reading in the Real World    9am– 3pm   $175/child  Ages  5 & up     Ms. Tori & Ms. Janice 

Activities will incorporate math and reading into cooking, woodworking,  art,  games and more!  Each day will begin with classroom instruction.  Learn while having fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  

Aug      TBA     Kindergarten Readiness       Ms. Jaime

We are in the planning stage for this camp.  Date and time to be determined.  If interested please let us know.

 

Swimming Lessons:     $250/child for 2 week session.  
Ms. Janice

Ms. Janice, a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard, will be available for swimming lessons.  Please speak with Ms. Linda to schedule.

Mad Science Summer Camps at SJGS!!!
